BANGALORE: Next week, a call centre will be set up to answer all queries about your holiday plans. To be open 24 hours, it will cover four tourism segments: Golden Chariot, Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR), Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) and the state tourism department.
Managing director of KSTDC Vinay Luthra said the call centre will be set up on St Mark's Road on July 23 with five employees; it will look after the needs of foreign tourists too. Due to problems of access from all telephone service providers in case of toll-free numbers, calls to the tourism help centre will be charged.
One can also book tickets online for holidays coming under the ambit of the four tourism branches. If not online, foreign tourists can book tickets through agents from anywhere in the globe.
"Bookings for KSTDC and Golden Chariot can be made in one place and bookings for JLR can be made at its offices," Luthra said. The call centre will also give general information to tourists about any place they want to go. |
