Introduction to Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary
The Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary located at the juncture of the Deccan plateau and the Western Ghats in Karnataka is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India. A moderate Climate, a variety of geographical features, a wide array of flora and fauna all makes the Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary a paradise for the wildlife and the wildlife enthusiasts. It is one of the first of India's Tiger reserves.

Description of Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary
The Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary has a variety of vegetation, ranging from the scrubs and stunted trees, grassy patches to dry deciduous forests and tropical mixed deciduous that consequently supports a wide range of vegetation. From the months of April to October, the Bandipur sanctuary becomes a hub of all wildlife. A wide range of attractive birds, elephants, gaurs, and other mammals often frequent the area of backwaters of Kabini Reservoir.
