Among the cities, Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi paid the highest salaries and have also seen the best salary appreciation (11.62% on an average). Goa, Indore and Ahmedabad are among the worst-paying locations (4.27% on an average).

IT/ITeS sector in Bangalore recorded healthy salary growth, followed by Mumbai. Employees working in manufacturing, retail, communication, energy, healthcare and pharma have received good compensation hikes this year, while in Delhi, the BFSI, consumer durables and FMCG sector employees received good hikes. The study is based on a comprehensive report of the skills and salary data of more than 75,000 temporary staff working across 264 different profiles, 13 industries and eight functional domains in India.
