London Jul 15: According to the experts there are more outsourcing work by British companies to India does not cause job losses but there are more jobs or employment a research by economists at the University of Nottingham.
Scores of major UK companies have been involved in offshoring, which has often been opposed by unions. Australian bank to offshore 400 IT jobs to India
National Australia Bank is expected to send another 400 information technology jobs to India by the end of the year.
The bank has shortlisted technology companies Infosys and Oracle to develop its billion-dollar, next-generation platform, which will form the key pillar in the bank's technology transformation plan, dubbed Program NEOS.
NAB chief information officer Michelle Tredenick told technology staff this week that it was ramping up its offshoring initiatives as part of Program NEOS, in an email quoted by The Australian.........Read about IT jobs to India...
KPOs to hire 1 lakh: Assocham
The Indian Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) industry is expected to employ over 100,000 people by 2012 as against the current number of about 40,000, according to a recent report released by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham).
As per the report, the KPO sector will be worth $10 billion by 2012 and a vast pool of highly educated professionals in engineering, medicine, management, accountancy and law would be required to serve the industry.......Read about KPO industry..
Indian cos showering jobs in US
Around 12 top Indian companies have invested billions of dollars in the US, creating and retaining more than 30,000 jobs in the country.
